... It all started at my own wedding. The team of viedographers did a pretty good job filming the event. We had two cameras working, plus a live editor, that was sending pictures and videos to two large screens, that were set up outside in the garden.
However, when we were provided with the final product we were really dissappointed. We were given two master tapes, as well as two DVDs of the event. The recording was Ok quality, however many times during the film the videographer was snapping pictures with the camcorder, and at that time the camcorder would make a really annoying beep. That continued throughout the film.
The most dissappointing fact was the DVDs. The DVD's we were given, had no menus and they were just a plain recording from the tapes we already had. It appeared as though, the videographer had simply connected a VCR to a computer and recorded the DVDs that way. It was so done so simple, that in the beginning of the DVD the word "PLAY" had appeared on the screen, prior to the video, which indicated, when the VCR was switched to "PLAY".
It was really dissappointing, knowing that these guys were in business for more than ten years, yet all these "little things" that mattered, were not accounted for. After reviewing everything, I have decided my DVDs needed a Touch of Class.
I've taken the DVDs I was given and performed a completed makeover. The new DVDs now contained Hollywood style main screen, menus, highlights and chapters. I've also created a slide show from the pictures that we had. The slide show included special fun looking transitions between pictures as well as the music that we liked.
The result was amazing. After showing the new DVDs to my family and friends the word started to spread. Other people started contacting me about creating professional "Hollywood" style DVDs. The idea grew from converting conventional video tapes to DVDs, to a complete video productions company. The company now offers professional video services to include filming, live editing, production and DVD creation as well as conversion.
